Yin Yoga is a balancing practice. With the busy, fast paced yang energy consuming much of our lives, Yin yoga invites us into postures that are more passive, yet challenging in their own, quiet way. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax in the posture, soften the muscle and move closer to the bone. Yin yoga offers us a deep access to the body, much like when we indulge our senses in the soothing, rhythmic vibrations of music.

Expression. Voice. Art. The fifth Chakra lies at our throat, between out third eye chakra and heart chakra. When this chakra is blocked or hindered, we find it difficult to find the words to express ourselves, we may have ‘writer’s block,’ or get in a creative rut. The music below will stimulate that fire.
TIP: Try surrounding yourself with the color blue, Aquamarine gemstones, and aromas of Eucalyptus, spearmint, and lemon.

Water is the most feminine of the five elements and therefore is considered very yin. In Taoist cosmology, femininity is not considered weak. On the contrary, water is the most powerful element because it can move around any obstacle in its path without losing its essential nature. Water can, in time, dissolve the hardest mountains.

The 2nd Chakra is a feminine Chakra (2nd, 4th, 6th) that governs our emotions and our pure creation. Music’s natural flow appeals to our second chakra.
