We adore our fun surf instructors, Richard Guy and his son Elijah Guy on our Costa Rica trip!
They truly are the best of the best. Remarkable human beings, great instructors, patient and kind. Even if you are new to surfing you will be supported to embracing your greatness! We believe in them so much that we include a surfing lesson with them as part of our January 5-11, 2013 retreat. Surfing is yoga, Yoga is surfing. Embrace the OM that is both.
ABOUT RICHARD GUY:
Richard has been living in Costa Rica for 20 years and has over 15 years experience as a surf instructor. Prior to that, growing up in Canada, he was an all-around athlete, accelerating as a competitive swimmer, becoming a lifeguard trained in CPR as well as open water rescue.
As a young adult, Richard traveled the world as a professional model. It was in 1990 on a short vacation between his work travels in Europe, Asia, and the US that he discovered the Jungle and the waves of Costa Rica and has been blessed to live and raise a family here on the Nicoya Peninsula ever since. Richard and his son Elijah take to the waves and surf together as their daily ritual.
