Prana del Mar, Cabo San Lucas 5 Star Luxury Eco-Retreat | Thanksgiving Growth & Gratitude

Please join us for a wonderful week of yoga & meditation, relaxation, outstanding organic food, sipping the best margaritas of your life, laughing with friends, watching the star-filled sky and falling asleep to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach. You will be staying at the eco-luxury Prana Del Mar Retreat Center in Baja, Mexico less than a half hour from Cabo San Lucas, near the Southern end of the Baja peninsula nestled between the Pacific ocean and the Sierra del Laguna mountains.

This desert oasis offers 15 luxurious guest suites with swimming pool, spa and a beautiful yoga studio. All rooms and suites have polished travertine floors and worktops, custom teak furniture, pillow-top beds, luxury organic linens, daily maid service and organic bathroom products. They also feature large terraces and balconies with ocean views. The two-room suites even feature complete stainless steel/granite kitchens and spacious living room areas.

Let us not forget Prana del Mar has exemplary eco credentials. The resort solar panels as its sole source of power and all waste water is treated on site and then used to irrigate the garden, itself organic. And if you purchase carbon offsets for your flight the resort will credit you that amount towards a spa treatment, surf lesson or excursion. Prana del Mar has been awarded 5 stars by Eco Hotels of The World.

Combine all of this with delicious cuisine featuring an international menu that incorporates contemporary and traditional Mexican influences and a loving staff, and you have an inviting place to deepen your yoga practice where you can relax, refresh, and rejuvenate.

ABOUT OUR THEME FOR THIS RETREAT
“Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life.” Says Christiane Northrup

Intention is defined as setting an expectation for yourself, an expectation to your OWN GROWTH AND EVOLUTION.

Our expectation and highest intention is that by going away on this yoga retreat to miraculous Prana del Mar we can help you reconnect to your commitment to grow by making time to focus on your Best Intentions. We will have space to breath our yoga twice daily and expand our connection to this promise we have made ourselves. We will actively practice guided Gratitude Meditations each day using a variety of techniques along with journaling and other manifestation exercises.

We will harness the power of intention to learn how to focus on one clear thing that is the most important to you. Coming away from this retreat you will be more convinced about the direction of your growth and evolution. Not 50 things at the same time. It is like the Buddhist parable of how to dig for water: instead of digging 100 holes focus your efforts and dig 100 times in the same place and then for sure we’ll strike water. We can’t wait for you all to join us to refocus your promise to yourself and the kind of life you want for yourself. And with the New Year of 2014 approaching let’s really manifest in our lives what is most important to us, to our health, to our hearts, to our peace of mind.

Our Favorite Surfing Instructors in Costa Rica and Worldwide!

We adore our fun surf instructors, Richard Guy and his son Elijah Guy on our Costa Rica trip!

They truly are the best of the best. Remarkable human beings, great instructors, patient and kind. Even if you are new to surfing you will be supported to embracing your greatness! We believe in them so much that we include a surfing lesson with them as part of our January 5-11, 2013 retreat. Surfing is yoga, Yoga is surfing. Embrace the OM that is both.

ABOUT RICHARD GUY:
Richard has been living in Costa Rica for 20 years and has over 15 years experience as a surf instructor. Prior to that, growing up in Canada, he was an all-around athlete, accelerating as a competitive swimmer, becoming a lifeguard trained in CPR as well as open water rescue.

As a young adult, Richard traveled the world as a professional model. It was in 1990 on a short vacation between his work travels in Europe, Asia, and the US that he discovered the Jungle and the waves of Costa Rica and has been blessed to live and raise a family here on the Nicoya Peninsula ever since. Richard and his son Elijah take to the waves and surf together as their daily ritual.

ABOUT ELIJAH GUY:
Elijah has been surfing since he was 3 years old, now at 17 and 6’4″, he was recently selected to represent Costa Rica at the 2012 DaKine ISA World Junior Games held in Panama and helped Costa Rica place 11th overall while individually placing 31st in the world for the under 18 competition.
