You come to us from another world;
From beyond the stars and a void of space
Transcendent, pure – of unimaginable beauty.
Bringing with You the essence of Love.
You transform all who are touched by You –
Mundane concerns, troubles and sorrows dissolve in Your presence
Bringing joy to ruler & ruled, to peasants and kings.
You bewilder us with Your grace;
All evil is transformed into goodness.
You are the Master Alchemist!
You light the fire of Love in earth & sky,
In heart & soul of every being.
Through Your loving, existence & non-existence merge –
All opposites unite –
All that is profane becomes sacred again.

Compassion in Action: Green Tara is usually depicted as a compassionate being (Mother Buddha) ready to step down from her lotus throne to offer comfort and protection from all of the sufferings we experience in the world.
This was filmed with the mantra om tare tuttare sure swaha in mind.
Mantra Meaning: From your heart of compassion, please help me to let go and release all blockages so I may have peace, clarity and happiness.
In the teachings of the Dalai Lama he reminds us “that when we chant the Green Tara mantra, we are not simply asking for Tara’s blessings and help with our lives and our “real world” problems. Actually, we are also asking to be liberated from the misery of the mental delusions and negative emotions that blind us to true freedom, and to achieve the same enlightened body, speech and mind that Tara represents, not only for our own benefit, but for the benefit of all sentient beings.”
For me being near the water always promotes the feminine, lunar energy of nurturance. I need that in my life and I know you do too. Jim’s sound vibration makes this mantra even more powerful. I appreciate how he adds in English lyrics as well, “the secret of feeling alive is to love.”
All of the quotes within the video are from Rumi whose writings to me exemplify universal LOVE.

His new album River of Song out now.
My favorite Rumi poem begins:
“Come for today is a day of festival,
Henceforward joy and pleasure are on the increase.
Clap hands, say, ‘Today is all happiness,
from the beginning it was a manifestly fine day.”
It reminds me of when we were kids and we would spontaneously clap our hands together to celebrate ourselves. How great was that! To clap and celebrate ones own life is Yoga! The Dalai Lama weighs in when he says “the roots of all goodness lie in the soul of appreciation for goodness.”
When we symbolically clap hands by saying nice things to ourselves we are appreciating our innate goodness. Healthy self-esteem grows from recognizing our own gifts, unabashedly celebrating them, therefore making today a day of happiness, a really fine day.
On the other hand, if we seek approval and happiness outside ourselves, it sets us up for life-long disappointment. As Dr Wayne Dyer says “Every moment that you spend upset, in despair, in anguish, angry or hurt because of the behaviour of anybody else in your life is a moment in which you have given up control of your life.”
Today focus on how amazing you are, join me in clapping hands (even at the end of your next yoga class!) I know you might feel self-conscious at first, but I trust you can let go of any pretense and share the beauty and humor of your real self. Just try it, spontaneously increase your joy and appreciation for your life by clapping hands. I’m quite certain it will make you smile!

Practicing yoga helps us remember to celebrate life. During class we burn off, sweat off, twist off the spiritual amnesia (forgetting what fires you up!) In a nutshell it reminds us about what we love about our lives: Dancing, hiking, playing piano, running, cycling, painting, traveling. Forgetting what you love to do is a form of self-sabotage. For instance, if you forget about your dreams, then you never have to risk failure. However, just because you’ve decided to ignore your passions doesn’t mean they no longer exist. Besides life is too short to stop doing what you love.
So today invoke the Fire Element, known in sanskrit is AGNI.
Fire is the energy of transformation or change. If you think about the power (Shakti) of fire it can take metal and change it into any shape. Fire is also symbolic of rebirth. It cleanses, burns off the negative and energizes one to light the path forward. Then we move confidently in the direction of what we love with great PASSION.
It is visible to everyone. You can see it. In the words of Philosopher Hebbel, “Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.” And no one else can tell you what fires you up, only you can decide “how to set your life on fire” -Rumi.
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
~ Harold Whitman
Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it and hold true to your biggest dreams! Love yourself, love your day, love your life! Silvia @inspiredyogagal
Full Moon energy is a potent time to align and release what is no longer serving you.
The perfect mantra for this time is: I AM READY FOR CHANGE
This is very 2nd and 3rd chakra work and being on the mat will reveal what is necessary for us to allow our evolution to unfold. We get to see where we have resistance to change. Or where we doubt ourselves or hesitate which are forms of resistance. We all know what we want, what we need, what we are ready for and often replaying old patterns serves to hold us back.
I would love for you to empower yourself to know that YOU CREATE YOUR REALITY. You can influence your life in a dark way or change it out and dream big and each day of your life becomes as Rumi writes “a day of festival!” Yes, it really will if you allow yourself to keep evolving in the direction of happiness which the yoga sutras say is our natural state.
Start now: I AM READY FOR CHANGE.
Love yourself, love your day, love your life! Silvia
