Uncertainty is Part of the Adventure

When one travels you can’t help but know with certainty that you will face uncertainty. It is inevitable. While on the road this can present itself as delayed planes, bus, trains or arriving at a destination and the hotel losing your reservation. It easily manifests in getting lost because we aren’t certain at that last crossroads we took the right way.

All of this can lead to feeling disoriented.

And that’s ok.

At those moments when one is feeling completely disoriented then pause, breath, meditate inwards to that one certain place – your heart. It is always a safe haven you can trust. Here below are some of our favorite quotes about uncertainty.

Seeing through the eyes of the world,
Silvia

Faith means living with uncertainty – feeling your way through life, letting your heart guide you like a lantern in the dark.
Dan Millman

The fastest way to break the cycle of perfectionism is to give up the idea of doing it perfectly – indeed to embrace uncertainty and imperfection.
Arianna Huffington

In an ecology of love, people can relate in trust and face the future without fear. They do not need to play it safe. They can take uncertainty in their stride.
Jonathan Sacks

Uncertainty is a sign of humility, and humility is just the ability or the willingness to learn.
Charlie Sheen

The quest for certainty blocks the search for meaning. Uncertainty is the very condition to impel man to unfold his powers.
Erich Fromm

Eyes of the World Lyrics by the Grateful Dead

Right outside this lazy summer home
You aint got time to call your soul a critic no.
Right outside the lazy gate of winters summer home,
Wondrin where the nut-thatch winters,
Wings a mile long just carried the bird away.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
The heart has it’s beaches, it’s homeland and thoughts of it’s own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin brings,
But the heart has it’s seasons, it’s evenins and songs of it’s own.

There comes a redeemer, and he slowly too fades away,
And there follows his wagon behind him that’s loaded with clay.
And the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom, and decay,
And night comes so quiet, it’s close on the heels of the day.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
The heart has it’s beaches, it’s homeland and thoughts of it’s own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin brings,
But the heart has it’s seasons, it’s evenins and songs of it’s own.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own,
And sometimes we visit your country and live in your home,
Sometimes we ride on your horses, sometimes we walk alone,
Sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own.

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world,
The heart has it’s beaches, it’s homeland and thoughts of it’s own.
Wake now, discover that you are the song that the mornin brings,
But the heart has it’s seasons, it’s evenins and songs of it’s own.
