WHERE WE STAY:
HOW DO I GET TO AEGIALIS HOTEL AND SPA
You take the metro (10E) or the airport bus (5 E) to Piraeus port for a 17.30 departure of Blue Star ferry (30-38E) directly to Amorgos . (Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays the boat arrives to Aegiali port, the closest port to the hotel.
The hotel, built in an energy line, offers very comfortable rooms, all with fantastic sea views, giving a very welcoming and relaxing feeling. The spa is modern and fully equipped to offer you relaxation and rejuvanation. There are many beaches on the island, and 3 of them are easily accesible on foot, walking distance from the hotel.
The restaurant, serves delicious healthy food, using organic vegetables, grown right in the hotel gardens.

ABOUT AMORGOS
Amorgos has 10 villages, 1800 permanent residents, and 370 churches & Monasteries. Byzantine Monasteries, include the 1000 year old Monastery of Panagia Chozoviotissa, where there is a wonderful Byzantine museum, the St, George Balsamitis, built on the ruins of an Ancient water oracle, and St. John Theologos, which offers a unique hiking opportunity, to reach it.
There is an Archaeological Museum in the Capital Chora, where there are also 40 churches and 12 wind mills on the riffs of the surrounding hills. One can also visit the Hellenistic Tower on the south end of the island, and the excavations of the Ancient city of Minoa.
Amorgos island also offers many possibilities for hiking its historic paths, enjoying wonderful views, discovering aromatic and therapeutic herbs, many of which are used in herbal teas, and for spa treatments. There is a not to miss new distillery for essential oils in a nearby village which is a delight to visit.
