Yin Yoga is a balancing practice. With the busy, fast paced yang energy consuming much of our lives, Yin yoga invites us into postures that are more passive, yet challenging in their own, quiet way. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax in the posture, soften the muscle and move closer to the bone. Yin yoga offers us a deep access to the body, much like when we indulge our senses in the soothing, rhythmic vibrations of music.
