“We are responsible for what we are and whatever we wish ourselves to be. We have the power to make ourselves.” – Swami Vivekandanda

Intention is defined as setting an expectation for yourself, an expectation to your OWN GROWTH AND EVOLUTION.

Our expectation and highest intention is that by going away on this yoga retreat to Prana del Mar we can help you reconnect to your commitment to grow by making time to focus on your Best Intentions. We will have space to breath our yoga twice daily and expand our connection to this promise we have made ourselves. We will actively practice guided Gratitude Meditations each day using a variety of techniques along with journaling and other manifestation exercises.

We will harness the power of intention to learn how to focus on one clear thing that is the most important to you. Coming away from this retreat you will be more convinced about the direction of your growth and evolution. Not 50 things at the same time. It is like the Buddhist parable of how to dig for water: instead of digging 100 holes focus your efforts and dig 100 times in the same place and then for sure we’ll strike water. We can’t wait for you all to join us to refocus your promise to yourself and the kind of life you want. And with the New Year of 2014 approaching let’s really manifest in our lives what is most important to us, to our health, to our hearts, to our peace of mind. Our journey will be supported each day by practicing Chakra Vinyasa.

“Change your expectations for yourself: expect the best, expect your fortunes to change, expect a miracle. Reacquaint yourself with that vision.” Dr. Wayne Dyer

  1. Hi Silvia,
I’m interested in this Retreat! Sharing room.
Tell me more details, I live in Venezuela. I have been readind your posts in MindBodyGreen, and since then, I have been following you with love, admiration for the work you are doing for the planet and great appreciation!
I love yoga, and even if surfing is not for me, I love watching them…I was married for 10 years a surfist…!

    • Hola Gladys,

Peace to you in all ways, Silvia

  2. Hi

My partner and I are interested in this retreat. We are looking to learn some challenging postures to bring back to Australia. What type of yoga do you teach and would you say this retreat is for beginners, intermediate or yoga teachers? Are any of your studios at the retreat heated as we are Hot Yoga teachers. Can you confirm the weather degrees of Cabo during this period?

We are both teachers looking to learn new postures however relax at the same time 🙂

    Namaste suzanna

    • Dear Suzanna,
My intention is that every retreat include new postures as a means of inspiring everyone to keep evolving their practice as well as familiar poses experienced more deeply. The depth might occur as a result of cuing or new techniques being applied. Even a pose such as Pigeon needs to be updated for us as practitioners. Certainly no one ever walks away from my classes, workshops or retreats feeling under challenged physically or mentally.

This retreat has regular practioners, dedicated students and teachers of yoga. I would say it is intermediate.

The two studios: Moon and Sun Studios are naturally heated. Not 110 degrees you might be used to. I also teach heated vinyasa. We do all we can to heat up through tapas instead of just external heat. Our Xinalani retreat March 30, 2014 has 2 studios and one is “heated” and is the hottest yoga studio at a retreat center we are aware of.

While on retreat we will include practice of:
      Tolasana (scales pose)
      Astavakrasana (8-bends pose)
Eka pada bhujasna (elephant trunk, one leg up on outside of shoulder, one extended forward)
Dwi hasta bhjasana (same as above but with both legs extended forward)
Bhujapidasana (shoulder pressure pose, similar to above, but with both legs on outside of shoulders)
Pinca mayurasana (elbow balance, forearm stand)
Adho Mukha Vrksasana (downward facing tree, AKA full arm balance, AKA hand stand)
      Vasisthasana (side plank)
      Bakasana (crow or crane pose)
Parsva Bakasana (side crow or crane)
      Tittibhasana (firefly pose)
      Eka pada koundinyasana I (scissors)
Eka pada koundinyasana II (twisted scissors)

And there will be excursions included such as kayaking, snorkeling, visiting some local beaches. On site we will have constellation presentation, language class, walking meditations, guided hikes and more!

It is a great combination of yogasana, meditation and relaxation. This is 5 star luxury and the studios are incredible!

Happy to have you with us. $100 OFF by August 30th registration.

      Peace in all ways,

PS I will email you this info and include a 12 page client package about this retreat
