Finding your Core Identity

Our focus on day one of our Freedom of Purpose Retreat is about getting grounded in all elements of the 1st Chakra so we can once more establish the freedom to unequivocally know our Core Identity. This requires a lot of integrity.

What is Integrity? It is really just being truthful about who you are and have this integrated across all areas of your life. When we come to the mat we have time to rediscover or reconnect to our Core Identity. And in the poses we practice shaking things up, slowing things down and even turning life upside down to see if we are able to demonstrate integrity and maintain who we are regardless of the situation.

Ask yourself today these questions relate to your Core Identity:
Is it easy or hard to be truthful?
• Is there a myth in your life that you have perpetuated? Something not really true?
• What are you afraid of people knowing about you?
If you weren’t afraid of what others thoughts what would you do differently?

Ultimately freedom means that we are living on purpose, knowing who we are and fully engaging the Root Chakra power of manifestation. I like what Robin Sharma writes, “THE PURPOSE OF LIFE IS A LIFE OF PURPOSE.” Yoga cultivates an intimate connection with who we really are and how we want to live. In the book The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, Robin Sharma also writes, “People who study others are wise but those who study themselves are enlightened. Those we are truly enlightened know what they want out of life, emotionally, materially, physically and spiritually.”

And in order to cultivate Freedom from Fear we have to take charge of our I AM statements related to our Core Identity. Answering this question: Who are you? Try it for yourself and see our I AM video from retreat on facebook. I AM CONFIDENT, I AM HAPPY, I AM AWAKE, I AM PEACEFUL! Love yourself, love your day, love your life! Silvia
