The grounding energy of Tuscany is so strong that unlike any where else in the world one has to try very little to slow down. There is an energy in the air, the realness of the earth, the energy in the slow cooking of the food one eats and the long process of wine making that all contribute to this slowing down. In yogaspeak we call this Shani. And of course the light! The gorgeous light that changes into a new brilliance every moment whereby you don’t want to miss it and in an effort not to miss a thing, one slows the pace of life. In Tuscany you breathe slower, you want each moment to be prolonged. Everything is pregnant with possibility but perfect as it is happening. I walk slowly in Tuscany. I hope you can join us and experience this for yourself! Our next opportunity is October 16-22, 2011. Inhale, Exhale…Shani in all ways, Silvia
Walk Slowly by Donna Faulds
“It only takes a moment to breathe,
A moment to be still, and just like that,
Something in me settles, softens, makes space for imperfection. The harsh voice of judgement drops to a whisper and I remember again that life isn’t a relay race; that we will all cross the finish line; that waking up to life is what we were born for. As many times as I forget, I catch myself charging forward without even knowing where I’m going, that many times I can make the choice to stop, to breathe, and be, and walk slowly into the mystery of life.”
